Trainspotting was probably made for an audience of teenagers upwards. You can tell from the characters which are displayed on the cover, most of which seem to look quite comedic. However, you wouldn't assume that this film was for children due to the fact that they all look quite rough and the man on the far left is swearing at the camera. The man in the middle is also making a gun motion with his hands implying that this film will have some violence in it which may not be suitable for younger viewing. The two red lines may also warn off younger children as it could represent blood and danger. You could also guess fromt how old the characters look on the cover as to what kind age group this film is targetted at which would be around 18 plus.
