Conspiricy thrillers
A thriller which includes someone finding our something that they think it quite small, but turns out to be a vast conspiricy. Films that you may expect to see in this sub genre are things such as the Bourne identity, Da Vinci code, Taken and The girl witrh the dragon tattoo. They key themes in this kind of thriller would be things such as conspiricy, secret agnts and car chases, lies, rumors, proppaganda and counter proppaganda.



Political thrillers
A thriller which includes a position of power which is meant to be given to someone whilst his opponent tries to stop this. Some films that you may expect to belong to this sub genre would probably be films such as The Ghost Write, JFK and The Edge of Darkness. The key themes in this kind of thriller would be things such as corruption, assasion and treeson.



The Spy Film
Can either be a realistic thriller dealing with subject of fictional espionage (Johnm Le Carre) or in a fantasy way (James Bond) Some films that would fit this sub genre would be dilms such as Spy kids, Hanna and the bourne films.The key themes in this kind of thriller would be spis, nazis and
conspiricy.





Phychological Thriller
This thriller has a lot more to do with the mental state of mind of the actors. It's more dramatic and mysterious than a standard thriller and can often over lap with a horror genre. Thrillers that would fit underneath this sub genre would be films such as Inception, Silence of the lambs, Seven or Phyco. The key themes would be things such as deceptive games, horror and drama.

Techno thriller
This is a hybrid genre which mostly deals with science fiction. It includes the inner workings of technology and the mechanics or various disciplines. Thrillers that fit into this sub genre would be ones such as Jurassic part, The Net and Die Hard. Key themes would be conspiricy, technology and futureistic technology.




Supernatural thriller
Brings outworldly element with suspence and plot twists. The main characters will usually possess super powers and it will be a struggle between good vs. evil. Films which are included in this genre would be ones such as The Sixth Sence, Fallen and The Others. Key themes wouldf be ghosts, superpowers and and good vs. evil.
