analysing the opening scene of kill bill

In the opening scene to 'Kill bill' all we hear is the diegetic sound of The Bride breathing heavily, showing she is panicing and worried. She has blood all over her face implying that she has been struggling previously or has been tortured. The fact that she is now lieing on the floor suggests that the person who she has been fighting against has caught her and now has her trapped. She is also wearing a bridal vail telling us that she has just got married, this could show a strong contrast between what is meant to be the best day of her life and possibly what is one of the worst. The scene is in black and white, signifying that this scene may have been set a long time ago and the fact that there is no colour may represent that there is no happiness. You then start to hear the diegetic sounds of footsteps, they seem to be getting closer and the closer they get the more heavy the brides breathing gets, implying that the footsteps are probably coming her way. There is then a close up of feet walking across the ground. When the figure reaches her he starts talking to her in a calm but menacing way and wiped the sweat and blood off her face with a handkerchief which reads 'Bill' we now know who the man is. But all his actions you can tell that bill is a bad person and has bad intensions. As he wipes her face she starts crying and gulping telling us that she is terrified of this man. You then her the diegetic sound of him picking up a gun, her eyes widen then you hear a gun shot. The scene then ends, signifying the end of the scene as well as her life.
