Evaluation of Website (first draft)

We have began to create a website for our band and promote and sell the artists image and video. Before we did this we did some research into similar bands so that we could get the look for our video right. 

 

To create the website we used the website editor WIX which gave us templates which then applied our own pictures and text which allowed us to make the website more personal and our own. As a group we decided that the look we wanted to go for was a clean and simple one so as not to over complicate or take away from the images we put into it.

Once we had selected the template we split the website into different sections these being home, about the band, behind the scenes, tour, dates, news, new music videos and contact information. Having taken a quite a few photos on the day we could then scatted them around the website, almost like we did on the day. A problem we have encountered is that we got too carried away with taking pictures of the shoot and haven't spent enough time taking pictures of the band. We are going to solve this by setting up a shoot for the band then adding these photos to our website.

This is our first draft of our website but I am content with how it looks so far. Once we have taken photos of the band it should be complete, we are thinking further into putting a time lapse we created on shoot day on the website as a lot of band similar to ours seem to do this.
